Serum NEFL (ELISA)

Neurofilament Light Chain (NFL or NF-L, also NEFL) ELISA kits are sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays designed to quantitatively measure NFL protein levels in biological samples like serum, plasma, CSF, or tissue homogenates. NFL is a key subunit of neurofilaments—intermediate filaments abundant in large myelinated axons—released into circulation upon neuroaxonal injury, making it a sensitive biomarker for neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer's, MS, ALS), traumatic brain injury, and stroke progression.
